About Maison des Agrumes

Maison des Agrumes is our family's apartment in Menton. We are regular visitors to the Côte d'Azur and fell in love with Menton, visiting several times before deciding to set up a home there. We found this apartment had all the authenticity and classic Provençal charm of Menton's old town, and we've made it into a comfortable space where we love to make memories and spend time. We truly hope you enjoy staying here just as much as we do. And the name — Menton is famous for its citrus fruit (agrumes in French) and the Fête du Citron which happens annually in February is a highlight of the calendar on the Côte d'Azur, attracting thousands of locals and visitors to admire the huge parades and creative floats. We wanted to create a light and airy space, encompassing the brightness and fresh qualities of citrus fruit.

The Apartment

The apartment features two independent bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the living room, accommodating up to 6 guests. It is ideal for families, couples, or groups of friends looking to explore the Côte d'Azur.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals: ceramic hob, combined oven with grill, fridge, coffee machine and cooking utensils. A dining table with chairs is provided, along with all crockery, glasses and coffee making facilities — perfect for enjoying fresh produce from Menton's market.

The shower room is modern and functional, with a shower, washbasin, toilet and heated towel rail. A washing machine is also available for your comfort during your stay.

Entertainment

For your downtime, the smart TV offers a selection of local and international TV channels, as well as interactive streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ (with your own account). An Xbox with games is also available — a controller is provided, just remember to put it on charge at the end of your stay.

Location & Access

The apartment is 50 metres from the Rampes Saint-Michel (the iconic yellow staircase leading to the Basilica of Saint-Michel-Archange) and 100 metres from Sablettes beach. It is the perfect location to enjoy the sea, restaurants and picturesque lanes of Menton without needing a car.

Please note: located in Menton's historic quarter with narrow, cobbled streets, access to the apartment is via a steep staircase of approximately 20 steps leading to the entrance door. This may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility or difficulty with stairs. Likewise, Rue Longue is a narrow pedestrian street — if arriving by car or taxi, you may stop briefly to unload luggage, but parking is at nearby car parks.
